Also known as Indy Man, it’s one of the most highly anticipated events in the beer calendar and this year’s excelled all expectations. For the past two years, TicketWeb has been the sole ticketing provider and we worked tirelessly with them to provide exceptional customer experiences. From organising a pop-up in person presale at the Port Street Beer House and The Beagle in Manchester through to employing our 4G scanners at this year’s event to ensure all customer tickets were scanned quickly, ensuring no valuable sampling time was wasted!
The IMBC is held across three rooms of the Grade II Listed Victoria Baths, with six timed sessions over its four days. Featuring a lovingly curated selection of the finest craft beers, natural wines, ciders, coffee and cool softs available, these guys know how to put a drinks menu together, and they should do, as they run some of the finest drinking establishments in the City. With a superb selection of independent food vendors in attendance too, there was something to suit everyone taste, that’s if you weren’t distracted by the live music and DJs.
With the most forward-thinking breweries from across the world pouring the best way to keep track (no pun intended) of what to drink, and where to find it, was via their amazing App. It listed the ever-evolving array of beers on offer and users could receive notifications of freshly tapped kegs in real-time and create personalised wish lists!
A personal feature at the IMBC is the Thirsty Games, where devotees purchased, tasted and voted on their favourite brews from a carefully selected trio of nano/cuckoo brewers. Liquid Light Brewing Company based in Nottingham, Yonder Brewing & Blending from Somerset and Donzoko from Teeside battled it out for the punters’ beery affections. We tasted their wares which they were tremendous, however there could only be one winner, with Liquid Light emerging victorious! Congratulations to all involved!

Now that spring is upon us, we're thinking ahead to those all-important summer ticket sales, as well as increasing sales for those quieter pre-summer months.
