Every month we like to introduce you to one of the Artist Services team here at Ticketmaster International.

This time we talk to Senior Client Account Manager Nicki Seaton while she takes a break from managing the UK client services team for international Artist Services and Platinum.

Q: Tell us your story – how did you end up joining Artist Services at Ticketmaster International?

I joined Ticketmaster UK seven years ago – I was with Event Programming for two years, and then I was part of the Live Nation Client Account Management team for a year. I’ve been working with Artist Services for almost four years where I started as Client Account Manager, and now I manage Artist Services and Platinum UK client services team which I’ve been doing for over a year.

Q: Tell us about a normal day at work for you?

There is no normal day in the office! One thing I really enjoy with my job and team is the variety of work we do day to day and the wide variety of clients we work with. This could be anything from coordinating a presale across a full UK major tour, setting up album upsells, managing VIP packages and setting up and monitoring Platinum activity. There is never a dull day at work and it helps that my team as well as Artist Services International are great people to work with. 

Q. What’s the best thing Artist Services can bring to an artist’s campaign?

Our campaigns connect the artists directly to fans, and no campaign is ever the same. Artist Services’ expertise means we can cater a campaign to meet artist requirements, but also achieve positive end results which is tickets in the hands of genuine fans.  

Q: What has been your favourite campaign to work on?

It’s very hard to pick one, but the most recent has got to be P!NK Verified Fan. It was a great team effort with everyone involved, and the hard work certainly did pay off as the campaign was a huge success. It also helps that I’m a fan of P!NK, and I’m looking forward to seeing her live next year.


Q: What are you listening to at the moment?

I’m a bit of a metal head but I also love my cheesy music. At the moment, I’ve been listening to Dir En Grey Insulated World. I recently saw them at Electric Ballroom, and they are one of my favourite bands to see live. Alhough they sing/scream in Japanese, the music – though heavy – is quite emotive. I’m also getting more into listening to podcasts. I highly recommend The Jasta Show with Jamey Jasta.  

Q: You spend a lot of time out of the office, actually in box offices at shows and festivals – tell us a bit about what that’s like? And any funny stories?!

Indeed my summer consists of travelling up and down the country, working a number of box office for events and festivals. This past summer I worked a big mixture of events from Download Festival to Little Mix in Scotland! I’m sure I’m not the only person who feels a great sense of achievement from setting up the event ready for onsale and then working the box office of a sold-out event knowing I played a part.  

There is always a story to tell from working on site at a festival from interesting food delights in staff catering (or not!) or dealing with drunk customers!

Q: And finally, what live event are you most excited for in 2018 / 2019?

Even though I’ve seen them live many times, it’s got to be Metallica at Twickenham. I saw them at London's O2 Arena in 2017, and the production was amazing! Metallica are one of the few bands I’ll never tire of seeing live.

And P!NK at Wembley as I’ve not seen her live before. And not forgetting Fleetwood Mac either!
